Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Candidate and Issues PACs
The Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committees (PACs) are responsible for funding candidates and issues that seek to improve the economic vitality of the Long Beach business community. PAC funds are raised separately from Long Beach Area Chamber membership dues. The PACs use direct contributions from donors to help fund candidate and issue campaigns. The PACs support the following key areas:
Direct Candidate Support
The Long Beach business community cannot afford to let other competing special interests dominate politics in the local economy. Our PAC recruits, endorses and funds candidates and their issues which are committed to creating jobs and protecting the interests of Long Beach businesses.
Local and Statewide Ballot Measures
The PAC plays an active role in local and statewide measures that impact our local economy. Every year, issues that qualify for local and statewide ballots have wide reaching implications for the business community. The PAC supports or opposes particular measures through extensive campaign efforts that protect Long Beach business interests.
Voter Education
The PAC educates voters about the positions candidates take on issues impacting the Long Beach local economy. This includes various types of outreach efforts to voters
before an election via email, mail, phone and signage and other media means.
The PAC also educates Chamber members and Long Beach voters about how candidates may impact the business community once elected.

Public policy issues and candidates impact job creation at all levels of government. Financial support towards the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce PACs efforts help secure a vibrant local economy.
